Taiwan Visual Art Archive cooperates with the Taiwan Art History Research Center of National Cheng Kung University to establish an art think tank, aiming to promote exchanges between local art museums and different museums, organizations, art workers, scholars in various fields, and private individuals, so as to promote mutual exchanges. With the goal of alliance and long-term development, we plan cooperation in research, publishing, workshops, forums, exhibitions, collection and archive exchanges, personnel training, etc., and integrate and upload resources to achieve the purpose of knowledge sharing and exchange.
At this stage, the plan is to target art museums and develop the following strategies:
–Critical Works: it refers to specific works that explore critical states such as interstices, gaps, and cross-sections in art history during the construction process of art history. Traditionally, the excavation of classic works is generally considered to reconstruct, recreate or fill in the history of art. However, from the perspective of archives, this return action is actually the pursuit of traces of memory and the remnants of time. From the archives and the resonance of the work, it can sense the pulse and the mind of the specific time.
–Glossary: Invite experts in the field of humanities and social sciences to cooperate with researchers from each library to propose keywords for current important topics, and continue to develop in-depth topics that have potential for cooperation between each library.
–Situated Knowledge: From the artistic development and historical events of relevant venues, through the construction of related chronology, we can find the basis for mutual dialogue and cooperation between relevant venues. At the same time, practical cases from relevant venues will be uploaded to the platform to promote experience exchange between venues.
