The selection style of the works exhibited this year continued the four requirements and “composite installations” of the 10th Bienal. Exhibited works included many “composite installations,” with works from Liu Yong, Liu Kuo-sung, Chen Ting-shih and others, with the largest being Liu Kuo-sung’s seven panel Midnight Sun, No. 4. Other exhibits included paintings by Tzeng Pei-yao, even in pursuit of composites without the form of framing, the compositions still fused expressions of different imagery. The cover and images within the catalogue printed by NMH showcased combined integration, with the press release emphasizing: “There are quite a few size 100 (162 x 130 cm) diptychs or scrolls, which indicates the importance of this exhibition placed by artists domestically and abroad.”
