This book is composed of a compilation of research and archives on Taiwan’s participation in the São Paulo Biennale in Brazil. In addition to rewriting, correcting and expanding the text content based on existing research, this book also comprehensively collects and supplements first-hand archives of the São Paulo Biennale’s participation in the exhibition, including the original Portuguese catalogue, as well as a list of previous participating artists and their works. In addition, due to the passage of time, many of the exhibited works no longer exist. Therefore, during the editing process of this book, we will also comprehensively review the participating artists’ personal albums, related publications, newspaper documents, and museum collections, and collect as many exhibited works and exhibitions as possible. A chart of records, in order to construct a resonant relationship between the history of Taiwanese art and the history of world art.
