• The 5th Taipei County Art Exhibition
This edition underwent considerable restructuring in the juror and award system, especially in call out method by forgoing traditional classifications of medium and opting for flat and dimensional works, which enabled young contemporary artists such as Peng Hsien-hsiang, Yuan Goang-Ming, Lin Chun-ju, Wu Mali, Hou Chun-Ming, Wang Te-Yu and others to be granted awards.
• The 2nd “Ghost Festival Zhongyuan Pudu: Religious Arts Festival”
Continuing from its first edition with rituals of religious procession, performing art troupes, releasing water lanterns, “Pudu Tamsui River” was at its core conception, declaring the dead Tamsui River as the largest “wandering ghost,” releasing water lanterns into the river, carrying out Pudu for the Tamsui River.
• “1993 Aboriginal Culture and Arts Festival”
Taipei County Cultural Center would hold the “1993 Aboriginal Culture and Arts Festival” with four events including lectures, video documentary film festival, and “Night of Nine Tribes” performances.
• “Seeing the Tamsui River—Sailing on the waters of history”
Organized by Chang Chao-Tang and Liu Chen-hsiang, and exhibited at Chenggong Elementary School in Luzhou, the exhibition brought together photographs related to the Tamsui River by photographers of various eras. Under the range of time and contrast, Tamsui River and daily living is displayed, the light and shadow of an ever-changing history.
