unknown) was selected into the 4th Taiten (Taiwan Art Exhibition) in 1930. According to Taiwan Nichi Nichi Shinpo (Taiwan Daily News), it was Oshimoto\u2019s first time being selected into the exhibition. The brushwork of this painting exudes an artistic charm similar to that of watercolor and sketch drawing, and its delicate and vivid brushstrokes demonstrates a sense of down-to-earth quality. The painter adopted an overlooking viewpoint to delineate an alleyway in Tainan (presumably the intersection of Qingnian and Minquan roads).
